I’m Tracy Knuff (Ka-Nuff), the proud owner of iKap Photography. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
After a military career that spanned twenty-four years and a love for sports photography and youth sports that wouldn’t go away, I decided to go from a serious hobbyist to a professional photographer to offer my services to others, doing what I always loved to do.
As a parent, I understood the importance of cheering for my child and the desire to capture exciting and memorable moments to cherish for a lifetime. I remember what it was like to forget my camera, take not such great photos and the anguish of missing the most moment of my child’s performance.
I have an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. I am also a member of the Professional Photographers Association (PPA).
To help provide the college-bound student-athlete or artistic performer with highlight videos for scholarships or just for reliving the glory days for years to come, I started iKap Photography in December of 2016. I brought two of my children into the business as associate photographers in 2017. My children, Will and Skylar, both have their photography businesses as well but operate in slightly different genres.
Since starting my photography business four years ago, technological advancements have made photography much more challenging. Now with everyone having a smartphone and taking awesome images without being a professional, I have learned to adapt and offer artistic montages and collages with the photos I take.
The part of my business I enjoy the most is working with my clients, treating them like celebrity models, and seeing their confidence visibly increase. I find their enthusiasm and excitement keeps me feeling young, which is undoubtedly a bonus.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my commitment to respect, loyalty and honor. I strive to reward our customers for sticking with us through our ever-conscientious service and eye for detail.
I attribute my success to the long-lasting relationships I have built with educational institutions and individuals, along with my passion and dedication to my trade. I also think my flexibility and willingness to learn has strengthened my position and helped make iKap Photography a leader in our field.
When I am not at work, I spend most of my remaining time with my family. I still have a teenage daughter who keeps me busy with school lacrosse and club soccer. She on the Odyssey of the Mind team, a competent girl scout, and does exceptionally well in her academic pursuits.
When time and business permits, I also enjoy visiting my other children across the country.
Apart from family obligations, I am additionally very passionate about cancer research and show my support whenever I can.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
If you or someone you know could benefit from our photography or videography expertise, I invite you to get in touch. Although youth sports photography and videography is our specialty, our family of photographers have various skills, including senior and family portrait, sports, landscape and nature photography.
We serve clients across Ada Township, Grand Rapids, Holland, Wyoming, Kentwood and the surrounding areas. Please visit our website at www.ikapphotography.com for more information.
